Let's Landscape!
Thank-you for expressing an interest in OGS Landscape Services! We have been serving the Oshawa-Whitby and the Durham Region since 1953, and are proud that quality of work and excellent service has brought us this far.
If you are looking to have a walkway, entranceway, backyard patio, pond, gardens and more, designed and/or installed, then you have come to the right place!

Let's Talk
After your initial contact, you will receive a call from one of our Landscape Designers. At this time, a few questions may be asked to give us a ‘feel’ for what you are looking for and an appointment is scheduled.

Getting Started
Once you meet with the Designer, it will be determined whether a landscape design is required for your project. The Landscape Designer will take property measurements and pictures of the area to be designed. On occasion design and price will be prepared ‘on-the-spot’, but more often, a complete landscape design drawing will be required.
Taking all the information collected, the Landscape Designer draws a landscape concept, either on computer or by hand. Materials and labour are priced, and presented to you, the client. This process can take some time as it a:) depends on the time of the year, b:) the complexity of the design, and c:) time and availability of Designer and Client to set up a presentation appointment. Frequently appointments are set up to meet at the OGS Landscape Supply Centre so that you can see first-hand the suggested materials the Landscape Designer is proposing.
When you are satisfied with the drawing and the Proposal, both parties sign it and a deposit is paid. Your landscape job is then scheduled and you are given an approximate timeframe.

Pick a Colour
Before the landscape project can begin, product, colour, and plant material where applicable need to be confirmed. Often the Client will choose everything, but on occasion, the client leaves everything to the Designers discretion. How much involvement you have in the process is entirely up to you, after-all the landscape is yours!

Ask Questions
Now, we are ready to go! The Designer will go over the project with the Landscape Supervisor and Landscape Foreman. You are encouraged to ask questions, and express any concerns you may have. It is much easier to deal with an issue as we go along, than it is to wait until all is done. The Landscape Supervisor and Foreman are able to contact the Designer at all times to answer any questions.

- Be there everyday once the job starts, except where deemed unsafe or under circumstances beyond our control. I.e.: weather, illness
- Stay in touch, answer any question.
- Conduct our work in a safe and professional manner.
- Clean up the job-site at the end of every day to ensure your safety and access to your home.
- Follow the Landscape Code of Ethics.
