PRUNING
The objective of OGS Grounds Maintenance Specialists is to understand the needs of your plants and shrubs. Properties will be looked at on an individual basis, to understand the needs of each plant or shrub.
Regular annual pruning keeps shrubs blooming at their best. Timing is everything; once a shrub has completed flowering, removal of spent flowers is needed. By doing this the plant will not spend energy on unnecessary seed production, but instead the creation of flower buds for next year.

Regular pruning also improves the shape and structure of a bush, enhancing its beauty and keeping it healthy by improving air circulation and allowing sunlight to penetrate into the center of the plant. Pruning of old branches promotes the growth of new young blossom bearing ones, because many spring flowering shrubs produce flowers on new wood.
